Meet the Coaches
Our team has been coaching recreational and competitive baton twirling for more than three decades. Our senior coach is a certified level II baton twirling coach and retired teacher with a BA in Elementary Education and a BA in special education. Because of this she is able to provide athletes with the most current baton twirling skills and techniques. This promotes confidence and success for all athletes. With her background in dance and gymnastics, she is able to train the twirling athletes in all areas. For the twirlers performing with the high school bands, she provides support, choreography, and communication with the band directors. For the recreational twirlers, parades and public performances are available.
Senior Coach Michele
Coach Michele was a competitive twirler at the state and national level winning state championships for 7 years in solo twirling, 2 baton and strutting and placing in the top ten nationally. She as also Miss Majorette of AZ for 7 years and has experience coaching this component of baton twirling. She twirled with the Coronado Dons high school band and with the ASU Sun Devil Marching Band.
Junior Coach Megan
Coach Megan has coached for 5 years and is very skilled in twirling 2 and 3 batons. She has a background in dance and choreography as well as her extensive knowledge of baton twirling. She is the team coordinator and choreographer for the AZ Xtreme Twirl Team. Coach Megan has completed at the state, national and the world level. She recently completed her 3rd World Competition in Liverpool, UK placing the 9th in 2 baton twirling. She is the current State 2 Baton and 3 Baton Championship.
